HAMPSHIRE Constabulary has confirmed that a 52-year-old man from Basingstoke has been released under investigation as enquiries into the Winklebury stabbing incident continue.
The Gazette previously reported that officers made a second arrest this week after a large fight broke out on Winklebury playing field.
A 16-year-old boy from Surrey was first arrested on May 25 and has been released on police bail.
Officers also arrested a 52-year-old man on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent on May 26.
On arrival, officers found a 41-year-old man and a 35-year-old man with stab wounds in the Winklebury Way area of Basingstoke on May 25.
Both men were taken to North Hampshire Hospital to be treated for their injuries.
