SOME signs this weekend that Winchester is coming back to life.
The Cathedral Close was not packed but there were scores of people sitting on the grass, most socially distancing.
The Old Vine pub was open for takeaway sales and a queue formed outside as at other shops for off-premises sales such as The Square, The Winchester Orangery, and Reeve the Baker on the High Street.
