A HAMPSHIRE care home is showing its appreciation for staff by changing the signage outside of its site.
Kitnocks House in Curdridge has recognised the efforts of its staff during the coronavirus pandemic by displaying the message “Thanks to our Heroes”.
Run by Cornerstone Healthcare the home cares for people with challenging behaviours associated with complex neurological, physical and mental health needs.
Chief executive Johann van Zyl said: “This is an extremely challenging time for our staff, as it is for care and frontline staff across the country.
“They have been having to work longer hours to cover those members of the team who’ve been self-isolating, and they have had to deal with the emotional challenge involved in trying to keep themselves and residents safe and well.
“We wanted our staff to know how much we appreciate the level of commitment they show every day. The new signs will remind them when they come into work and will remind their local communities too.”
The signs will stay in place for the rest of the year.
