SOLDIERS snuck half a dozen women into their Aldershot barracks for a party last week, flying in the face of lockdown restrictions.

Snapchat footage shared by the Sun shows the revellers letting loose at Lille Barracks, in Aldershot.

The base is home to the 1st Battalion Grenadier Guards, the regiment responsible for carrying out ceremonial duties at Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle.

Footage shows the group drinking, dancing and singing the night away, with social distancing guidelines being ignored.

Army chiefs have condemned the behaviour, saying it “undermines” the support it is currently providing to health authorities across the country.

The party is believed to have taken place on Wednesday night last week, with the clips on Snapchat uploaded between around 8pm on Wednesday and 3am on Thursday.

One piece of footage shows a soldier swearing at a camera while others show off a pet snake.

Other clips depict the soldier’s guests dancing and singing at the top of their lungs.

The Army says it will be ‘dealing with matter accordingly’.

An army spokesperson told the Sun: “This behaviour clearly contradicts the discipline the Armed Forces demand of their personnel and undermines the support we provide to health authorities with mobile testing and other tasks across the UK.

“We will look into the incident and deal with the matter accordingly.”
