CASH and a selection of children's toys have been stolen from a car in Chandler's Ford.

Officers were called to an address on Goldwire Drive in Chandler's Ford, after receiving reports that some time between midnight and 9am on Sunday, a vehicle was broken into and money and children's toys were stolen from inside.

Now an investigation has been launched and residents have been urged to come forward with information.

A Hampshire Police spokesperson said: "We would like you to be aware of a theft from a vehicle that has been reported to us. This occurred between 00:00 – 09:00 on Sunday 3rd May 2020. Unknown offender(s) have broken into a vehicle on Goldwire Drive in Chandler’s Ford. They have then stolen children’s toys, cash & some other items. They’ve also trespassed into a garden.

Officers have also reminded residents to protect their property and vehicles in the best way they can by always locking doors and windows, and possibly installing other locks for increased security.
