A DRIVER had a lucky escape after crashing into a wooden fence.
A white Volkswagen suffered extensive damage and a fence was wrecked on the A338 at Burgate last night.
Fordingbridge fire crews attended the incident and a spokesman said it was a "lucky escape for the driver with no injuries."
He added: "Nice to see such a normally busy road relatively quiet though."
