A FURTHER four people who tested positive for coronavirus have died in Hampshire in the last 24 hours.

Official figures released by the NHS today have revealed that the total number of deaths across the county currently stands at 422, up from 418 by four in 24 hours.

This includes statistics covering the University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust (UHS), Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust and Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

At the UHS, a total of 129 people who tested positive for the virus have died, there have been no further deaths in the last 24 hours.

The figures have revealed that 102 patients have lost their lives at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust with no further deaths recorded in the last day.

The trust handles Royal Hampshire County Hospital in Winchester, Andover War Memorial Hospital, Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital and Alton Community Hospital.

At Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, 178 people have died after testing positive for coronavirus, up by three deaths since yesterday.

A total of 13 people have died at Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust, an increase of one death in 24 hours.
