A number of police cars and ambulances were spotted outside the Churchill Place apartments at around 6.30pm this evening.

An eye-witness told the Gazette they saw as many as six police cars present, plus two ambulances.

One person was allegedly injured and stretchered into an ambulance, according to the onlooker, while another was taken away in a police van.

A strong police presence remains at the scene.

At around 8.15pm the eye-witness said: “There’s probably still about nine police officers there and about seven vehicles. But the ambulance went off with lights and sirens flashing.”
