FIREFIGHTERS rushed to a travellers' site outside Southampton last night following reports of a large blaze.
Fire engines were sent to Bury Brickfield Park off Marchwood Road after emergency services received six complaints about a bonfire.
Two crews were sent to the caravan park, one from Redbridge and another from Totton Fire Station just after 9pm.
They used two reels to control a 10x10m bonfire which they left to smoulder.
A stop message was issued at 10.09pm.
Police were asked to attend but were not required to.
No one was reported as injured.
