A WINCHESTER man has been charged with drink driving after leaving his car in a ditch.
Aaron Lee Hood, 26, will appear at Portsmouth Magistrates Court on April 21.
Police tracked him down after attending a single vehicle accident in Midlington Road, Droxford at around 5pm yesterday evening.
A Hampshire Constabulary spokesperson said: "The Vauxhall Astra had been left in a ditch. Officers located the driver and he was arrested on suspicion of drink driving."
At the time, Winchester Cops posted on Twitter: "We have just attended a single vehicle RTC in Droxford with our colleagues from Thames Valley, Hampshire and IOW Dog Section and Hampshire Country Watch Team.
"Driver made off from the scene leaving his car in a ditch. After a search they were arrested on suspicion of drink driving."
