THIS is the viral moment a Cambuslang DJ blasts the GBX hit 'Bits N Pieces' in a 'social distance street party'.

Graham Moore, who runs 5 Star Discos, was filmed playing an hour long set on Saturday afternoon - swapping a dancefloor for a driveway to entertain his neighbours.

Graham has amassed more than 10,000 views for his attempts to life spirits during the difficult coronavirus lockdown - which has seen unprecedented levels of social distancing across the world.

The DJ, like many other sin the industry, has had his calendar "wiped out for the next few months" due to the new restrictions - with weddings and parties all being cancelled.

Graham, who has previously played back to back sets with Radio Clyde's George Bowie from the GBX-perience, said: "Because of the venues shut down it’s been a nightmare with the loss of work and so many of my couples are affected, I needed abit of as lift.

"I’m always busy at weekends so the most natural thing was to set up my kit and play some tunes for the neighbours to enjoy.

"The idea was for people to sit in their garden, have a wee drink and a dance but I couldn’t imagine how fast it spread once it went online.

"The response from everyone has been unbelievable."

He added: "The idea was that everybody stayed in their gardens or homes, I didn’t want anyone putting themselves at risk.

"It was a bit different playing in the afternoon, but we have lots of kids in the estate and a few NHS workers so I thought that was better than annoying everyone at night."

Glasgow Times:

Hundreds of people flooded the post, even joking that they planned to move into his street.

During the Facebook Live set, people were tuning into the live stream from across the UK and even as far away as Madrid, putting in requests and shout outs.

The big hearted DJ even led a chorus of happy birthday for a few people and gave a special mention his "extended Rutherglen High Family who are still working so hard, supporting our kids during the crisis."

The Cambuslang man, whose brother and cousin are also established club and event DJs, was nominated for all 3 of Scotlands biggest Wedding Industry Awards in the past year.

He added: "I had so much fun, just knowing people were getting a kick out of it.

"It’s crazy to think just over a week ago I was playing to a room of over 300 crazy students and now I can’t even play to one man and his dog."

The set was capped off with a tongue-in-cheek mix of "End of the World as we know it" - with Graham adding he intends to do more sets and hold a massive street party once the lockdown is lifted.
