WINCHESTER hospital has reported its first death related to coronavirus as the city goes into virtual lockdown.
The patient, a 79-year-old man with underlying health conditions, died at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital after contracting the virus.
He was one of two patients confirmed to have died by the Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust on Tuesday after testing positive for COVID-19.
