SOUTHAMPTON driver Florin Greurus has been fined whilst driving when uninsured.
Greurus, 40, of Derby Road, St Mary's, had initially denied the charge which related to an incident on Derby Road on September 13 last year when in a 62-reg Vauxhall Insignia.
But he changed his plea to guilty at Basingstoke Magistrates Court.
He was fined £250 with a £32 victim surcharge, £85 costs and six penalty points were added to his licence.
A charge of driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence was denied and the allegation was withdrawn.
A third charge of failing to stop at a 'Give Way' sign on Derby Road was also denied and the prosecution offered no evidence.
