GAME of Thrones superstar and children’s author Clive Mantle visited Kings Worthy Primary School for World Book Day.

The actor, who has played Lord Greatjon Umber in the blockbuster series on HBO, also starred in Casualty and the Vicar of Dibley and began writing for his son.

Clive read excerpts from his first book: The Treasure At The Top Of The World, before taking questions from the children in two special assemblies.

Kings Worthy head of English Helen Morgan said: “To get such a big star to come in to see us was a really big deal for the children.

“Clive really inspired them to get writing and reading – which is what World Book Day is all about.”
