A POPULAR pub on the River Test has opened its doors once again following a refurbishment.
The Mayfly, in Fullerton, near Stockbridge, has undergone a major transformation which is hoped to “lure in visitors” to the eating and drinking spot.
The bar was officially opened on Thursday under the stewardship of manager Darren Felvus.
As part of the refurbishment, the pub has received a full makeover, with exposed brickwork and a renovated outdoor seating area, along with two fireplaces which ‘boasts a country charm’.
Those seeking their own space can book the new Fisherman’s Lodge dining area or conservatory for more intimate gatherings.
Head chef Robert Pike, has created a menu of seasonal signature dishes and British pub classics. Local ingredients are used, with some produce sourced less than an hour away from the pub, at Owton’s Butchers and Laverstoke Park Farm.
