A MAN whose body was found in a field in Meon Valley died due to hanging, an inquest heard.
Oliver James Pallett, aged 37, was discovered in woodland close to Sailor’s Lane, Exton, on February 25.
Mr Pallett, of Britannia Close, Carterton, Oxfordshire, had been reported missing and a police search was launched.
Officers from Thames Valley Police and Hampshire Constabulary joined forces to search for Mr Pallett.
At an inquest opening into his death area coroner Jason Pegg gave a preliminary cause of death as hanging.
Mr Pegg adjourned the inquest to take place on August 19 at Winchester Coroner’s Court.
