A WINCHESTER man has been jailed for attacking a woman while she was in hospital.
Terence Richard Miller, of Hyde Gate, beat his victim at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital on January 12, and at his address the next day.
The 37-year-old previously pleaded not guilty to the offences but changed his plea on February 21 at Basingstoke Magistrates Court.
The register of the appearance states the offence was so serious because the woman was in hospital and “in a vulnerable position”.
He was jailed for 16 weeks and ordered to pay £100 compensation.
