HAMPSHIRE-based charity The Brendoncare Foundation has announced that a new manager has joined Brendoncare Meadway, its residential care home in Winchester.

Lisa Wallace started her caring career when she was 16. She worked in community care for 10 years before moving into working in the care home environment.

She has looked after residents with nursing, residential and dementia needs. Whilst working in a specialist dementia care home she completed her NVQ Diploma Level 5 Certificate.

Speaking about her appointment Miss Wallace said: “I am excited to be taking on this new role. I am really looking forward to this new challenge and working with the wonderful team. The residents can be assured they will receive the best care possible. In terms of my personal goals; I ensure every day is a day well lived, I’m not perfect by any means but I am the perfect version of me.”

Miss Wallace lives in the New Forest and loves long walks with her husband and two new puppies who all enjoy the frosty and wet mornings.

Brendoncare Meadway is a 13-bedded care home located in Mead Road, St Cross, Winchester, offering residential, respite and end-of-life care.

The emphasis is on quality and enjoyment of life for the residents. Most of the spacious rooms enjoy a view of the attractively landscaped gardens. The communal areas are spacious and welcoming, providing a homely feel for residents and their visitors.
