JO Brand takes to the road this month trying out new material along with her special guest Andy Robinson.

Her sold out show is at Theatre Royal Winchester on Thursday.

Long established as one of the UK’s best comics, Jo Brand is the star and writer of Getting On, the BBC’s BAFTA award-winning series set on a hospital’s geriatric ward, which was partly inspired by her earlier career in nursing.

Other television credits include: Great British Bake Off: Extra Slice (BBC), Taskmaster (Dave), Have I Got News For You (BBC One) and Would I Lie to You (BBC One).

Jo has written several highly acclaimed best-selling books Can’t Stand Up For Sitting Down, Look Back In Hunger and The More You Ignore Me. 2018 saw her sitcom Damned air on Channel 4 and the release of her film, The More You Ignore Me.

The comedian and TV personality known for her dry sense of humour.

In 1993, Brand transitioned into mainstream television and became a resident panellist on BBC comedy panel show the Brain Drain.

Since then her TV career has continued to blossom and she’s won four British Comedy Awards and a Bafta for her sitcom Getting On.

If that wasn’t enough, Brand became an unlikely fitness hero when she completed a 150-mile coast walk for Sport Relief in 2016.

She recently reprised her role on The Great British Bake Off: An Extra Slice on Channel 4 - as well as appearing in Taskmaster.

Andy Robinson won Best Club Night in the Midlands in the 2015 Chortle Awards and was the winner of 2014’s Best Act and Best Compere at the Midlands Comedy Awards. He has also worked as a warm-up artist for shows such as Never Mind The Buzzcocks, Shooting Stars, Later with Jools Holland, Friday Night with Jonathan Ross as well dozens of others.

Andy has been the support act for Sean Lock, Rich Hall and Paddy McGuiness. He is Jo Brand’s regular support act, and has worked with her for the past ten years.
