A ROAD has been closed in Winchester to allow for urgent gas repairs to take place.
Stockbridge Road was shut between Chilbolton Avenue and Bereweeke Road earlier today (Tuesday).
SGN has said that the street has been temporarily closed in both directions for “urgent repairs to our gas network”.
A diversion has been put in place via Stoney Lane, Andover Road and Bereweeke Road.

A spokesperson said: “It's too early to say how long repairs will take however, they're likely to continue throughout this week.”
