A WINCHESTER girl died of hanging, an inquest heard.

Kesia Waller, 17, of City Road, died at Southampton General Hospital after being admitted on January 20.

A post mortem by consultant pathologist Dr Vidhi Bhargava said the causes of death were hypoxic ischaemic brain injury, where it is starved of oxygen, and hanging.

Acting area coroner Sam Marsh adjourned the inquest until July 8.
