BURGLARS ran off empty-handed after a light spooked them while searching a barn in Up Somborne.
Police say the offenders pulled up outside a property in the village and were heard by the homeowners on Monday at about 11.30pm.
PCSO Richard Sanders said: “Shortly afterwards two males dressed all in black were seen in the residents' barn. The males, after seeing a light from the resident's property, returned to their vehicle and made off empty-handed.
