Clare Balding at Handlebar Cafe, St Cross
THE Handlebar Cafe, the unique cafe on the former railway embankment, next to Garnier Road, is carving out a name for itself as a place to go. But it is still early days for the venture. So they will have been pleased by the visit of TV presenter Clare Balding the other day.
The cafe tweeted: “An absolute DELIGHT to welcome Clare Balding to Handlebar Cafe accompanied by lovely Brian Draper and friends to record for BBC Radio 4 Ramblings. What a Handlebar Highlight! And gorgeous weather! To be aired 5th March 3pm.”
