A THREE-year-old horse was rescued after being found upside down in a ditch.
Fire crews and an animal rescue team rushed to the scene on Silver Street, Hordle, and got the cob out with a mechanical digger.
After being sedated by a vet, the horse was dug out, stabilised and back on its feet.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "We received a call at 7.53am to a horse, which was 12 hands high, which was stuck in a ditch.
"It is now in the care of a vet. We received the stop message at 9.07am."
