A SUSPECTED drink driver refused to help police - so he has been disqualified from the road.
Miroslaw Mazur, 59, of Painters Field, St Cross, failed to give a specimen of urine to the police on September 23.
He denied the charge but the case was proved in his absence at Aldershot Magistrates Court on Wednesday January 8. He admitted failing to surrender to custody on the same day.
Magistrates in Basingstoke banned him from driving for 24 months. The ban will be reduced by 179 days if Mazur passes a course by May 27 2012.
He was also ordered to pay a £90 victim surcharge ad £150 costs.
