A SECTION of the A34 will close tonight to allow for roadworks to take place.
The dual carriageway, which runs from Winchester to Bicester, will be closed between the A343 junction (near Highclere) to the M3 junction 9 at Winnall.
The dual carriageway will be shut from 9pm tonight (Friday, January 10) to 6am tomorrow (Saturday, January 11).
Motorists usually using the road will need to find a diversion, potentially using the A339 from Newbury to Basingstoke and the M3 to junction 9.
The slip road at the A34 junction with the A303 will also be closed overnight next month.
The eastbound exit on the A303 on to the A34 will be closed at Bullington Cross for road works.
It will take effect between 9pm and 6am between February 6 and 8.
