LOCAL district councillor Caroline Horrill and Hampshire County Councillor for Winchester Downlands Jan Warwick urged Winchester City Council’s environmental department not to neglect regular litter picks on the key access roads to and from the city.
“The verges along the main roads surrounding our historic city are particularly bad.
“The litter needs to be picked now before the vegetation regrows in the spring,” said Cllr Jan Warwick.
“We have heard a lot about the Environment and Climate Change from the Liberal Democrat administration recently but we would urge them not to neglect their basic responsibilities of keeping Winchester clean” added leader of the Conservative opposition councillors, Cllr Caroline Horrill.
