MORE than 100 people enjoying Christmas lunch at the Trinity Centre in Winchester.

A hundred clients, staff, trustees and volunteers were served turkey with all the trimmings, with the desserts provided by Rick Stein restaurant on the High Street.

Everyone received an individually gift-wrapped present donated by businesses, churches, schools, and local people.

Sue McKenna, chief executive, said: “We would like to send a heartfelt thanks to the Winchester community for supporting us throughout 2019 and really making a difference to the lives of many. We have been overwhelmed by the generosity and sheer good will from local businesses, churches, the Councils, BID, many partner organisations and the public. There has been a real interest in homelessness this year, there are many reasons why people can fall upon tough times. We really appreciate your support; we genuinely could not provide our services without it.”

This year the Trinity has plans for flats for up to12 people in a new development, UnderOneRoof@trinity project, at the back of its base at Durngate.
