STAGECOACH has announced that there will be new ticket prices for customers travelling across Hampshire.
The transport operator has carried out a review, with new increased fares being rolled out from Sunday January 5.
Edward Hodgson, managing director for Stagecoach South, said: “We have done our best to assist our customers by keeping prices as low as possible and, while some fares will increase, quite a number will remain at current prices.
“Our popular Nightrider ticket remains at £2.50 for the third year running, giving unlimited evening bus travel, anywhere across our network after 7pm.
“More and more customers are choosing to buy tickets on our app, which is not only easier to buy, but also offers greater savings than buying from the driver. It also saves time when boarding, which helps to keep our buses punctual.”
The network-wide Megarider Gold weekly ticket will be priced at £23.70 on the Mobile app, offering 7 days unlimited Stagecoach bus travel across the entire Hampshire, Surrey and West Sussex area.
Stagecoach South operates a fleet of 491 buses across Hampshire, Surrey and West Sussex and has invested heavily in new buses in local areas, all of which are fully accessible and low emission.
