A MAN suffered serious injuries after he was punched in the face at a Winchester nightclub.

Between 11.30pm on December 13 and 00.30am, the man was walking through the smoking area at Vodka nightclub when he was assaulted.

A police spokesperson said: "Since then, officers have been making enquiries and we are now turning to the public to identify a man we want to speak with in connection to this incident."

Officers have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the attack.

He is described as being between 20 and 30-years-old, around 5ft 8ins tall, white and with light coloured hair which was shaved at the sides and longer on top.

He was wearing a dark jacket, which had a pale collar.
