IT IS that time of year when festive fun is aplenty and carol singers are out in force spreading joy, but police have issued a warning to the contrary.
PCSO Sarah McCulloch, of Meon Valley Police Station, has issued an alert regarding carol singers that has been “acting aggressively” while out and about.
PCSO McCulloch said: “We are aware of a number of social media posts in relation to a young female carol singer who is with an older female acting aggressively or being over familiar near to properties in the Meon Valley, Fareham, Hedge end and Eastleigh areas.
“We do not want to stop people enjoying the festive season, but if you do have any concerns please do consider contacting Hampshire Constabulary via 101, 999 in an emergency or reporting online via - hampshire.police.uk.”
It comes as the Meon Valley Neighbourhood Policing Team have asked people to “stay merry by staying safe” when it comes to the Christmas party season.
