AN OTTERBOURNE pub has open its doors once again following a £330,000 transformation.

The Old Forge, in Main Road, has undergone a major refurbishment to give the eating and drinking spot a modernised, stylish and contemporary feel.

The bar was officially opened on Saturday after invited guests enjoyed a sneak peak on Friday.

General manager, Giuseppe, who has been with the Old Forge for two years, and has 20 years’ hospitality experience, said: “The Old Forge is a hugely popular destination and provides a hub for the local community so we’re really excited to be part of the team as it begins its next chapter.

“We have made some stunning changes that have allowed us to create a modern, open and stylish look and feel to the pub – making it the ideal spot for friends and family to get together. We have loved unveiling the brand-new pub to guests!”

As part of the refurbishment, the pub has received a full makeover, with a private dining area available for reservation, along with a seasonal menu featuring a broad range of dishes.

Its team has also grown with several new people hired to fill various roles. Leading the team is brand new head chef Elle, who has over 10 years industry experience.
