Winchester Cathedral's Christmas market is in the running to be named the best in Europe.
The city affair has been shortlisted as one of Europe's top 20 Christmas Markets by European Best Destinations.
Winchester Cathedral’s Christmas market is often acclaimed as one of the best in Europe, with over 100 chalets to explore. Visitors travel from far and wide to soak up the bustling festive atmosphere in the historic Inner Close, with spectacular views of Winchester Cathedral.
Inspired by traditional German Christmas markets, the Christmas market offers tempting seasonal treats, exclusive Christmas gifts and a stunning Ice Rink for visitors to enjoy.
Last year, Winchester Cathedral Christmas Market was voted second best in the UK in a Booking.com poll whilst the New York Post hailed Winchester as one of the most magical Christmas cities in Europe.

The Christmas market with the most votes will be crowned the best Christmas Market in Europe 2020, succeeding Tallinn who won the title of Best Christmas Market in Europe 2019. Previous winners include Strasbourg and Zagreb.
