CELEBRITIES will line up to headline a Christmas concert for charity in a Titchfield church.

The festive show aims to raise funds for Breast Cancer Haven, with confirmed headline readers EastEnders actor Christopher Timothy, actors James Murray and Sarah Parish, ITN newsreader Alastair Stewart and Eggheads quizzer Kevin Ashman attending.

Alongside those celebrities includes Lord Lieutenant of Hampshire Mr Nigel Atkinson, the Queen's appointed personal representative in the county.

Bagpipes will lead around 350 guests to the church ahead of the festive-themed evening.

Breast Cancer Haven is a national charity that supports women during or after their breast cancer treatment, and money raised will enable the centre, based in Titchfield near Fareham, to continue offering free support to anyone affected by breast cancer.

The event on Monday December 9 will include festive performances from over 150 musicians, including Hampshire Police Male Voice Choir and Rock Choir.

Sally Hillyear, fundraising manager of The Breast Cancer Haven, said: “Once again, we are extremely grateful for this generous support from our high profile friends.

"We are delighted to be back in the church in Titchfield and look forward to welcoming not only wonderful celebrities and musicians but also special guest the Lord Lieutenant Nigel Atkinson.

She added: "The Christmas concert has been a firm favourite in the fundraising calendar for the last 5 years.”

Two tickets will be on offer to those wishing to attend, with a general ticket allowing entry into the main event at St Peter's Church, while a VIP ticket includes a reception hosted in the Breast Cancer Haven centre, at The Square.

The concert at St Peter's Church starts at 7.45pm, with doors opening at 7pm, while the reception begins at 6.30pm.
