A NAZI symbol has been painted on a Winchester bridge.
Danny Habel, a member of the Jewish community, spotted the graffiti on St James Lane and reported it to Network Rail who dispatched a team to remove it within hours.
Mr Habel said: "We have heard a lot about left- and right-extreme groups that are a threat to minorities and to the community at large. It’s chilling to think they might be active in Winchester.
"A swastika here is a symbol of a turbulence in English society that we find disturbing and people should realise that."
