MOTORISTS experienced 45 minute delays due to a car blaze on a Hampshire motorway this morning.
Crews from Redbridge and Eastleigh were alerted to the fire at 7.11am, involving a Mercedes-Benz E-Class on the hard shoulder of the M27 heading westbound.
Two lanes were blocked between junction 3, by the M271, and junction 2, at Ower.
The delays stacked back towards junction 4 - next to the M3.
A spokesperson from Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service said approximately "50 percent" of the car was on fire.
Both crews arrived at approximately 7.20am and the fire was put out before 7.30am.
