A HAMPSHIRE man has been banned from the road for three years for drug driving.
James Thomas Furmedge, 27, was caught driving with benzoylecgonine, a compound commonly found in cocaine, in his blood on the M27 westbound on May 26.
He was also caught on the same day speeding on the M27 westbound.
Furmedge, of West Common, Blackfield, pleaded guilty to both offences at Portsmouth Magistrates' Court.
He was ordered to carry out 150 hour of unpaid work, and was disqualified from driving for 36 months.
He was also ordered to pay £90 victim surcharge and £85 in court costs and his license was endorsed.
