NATIONAL treasure and acting star Judi Dench was recognised by Winchester University for her award-winning career.
The Academy Award and Golden Globe Award winner was presented with an Honorary Doctorate for her services to the dramatic arts by the university's chancellor, Alan Titchmarsh on the final day of this year's graduation ceremonies in the Cathedral.
Famous for a star-studded filmography, including her portrayal of M for 20 years in the James Bond film series and a variety of performances in Shakespeare plays.
The 84-year-old began her acting career in 1957 and continues to work in the industry.
