CAMPAIGNERS from Animal Aid are due to protest in Winchester tomorrow (November 1).
They are heading to the city after it was named as having the largest carbon footprint per person in Britain.
However, the group is not looking to persuade motorists to leave cars at home or deter people from air travel.
It believes that methane emissions from livestock on farms is partly to blame for global warming.
As a result, the animal rights group will be urging residents to give up meat and become vegan.
To make their point, they plan to bring Wendy the Windy Cow', a fake bovine that emits comic flatulence to attract attention, at the Buttercross from midday.
