A COLDEN Common man has been banned for three years for drink driving.
Benjamin Kenneth Charles Reed, 21, of Moors Close, was nearly three times the legal alcohol limit when he was stopped in a Vauxhall Astra by police on Hazeley Road, Twyford, on September 15.
His alcohol reading was 82 in 100 millilitres of breath when the legal limit is 35.
He admitted the charge.
Magistrates in Basingstoke imposed a community order with a drink impaired drivers programme for up to 14 days.
He was fined £40, with a £90 as well as the three-year ban.It will be reduced by 274 days if Reed passes an approved course by October 30 2021.
