NURSERY schoolchildren, a city councillor and a large bird met to celebrate the opening of a new play area in Winchester.
The city council officially opened the playground off Gordon Avenue in Highcliffe.
Children from the local All Saints Pre-School helped with the celebrations along with Cllr Lynda Murphy sand Wonky the Woodpecker.
