A UK-leading investment management company has opened a new regional office in Winchester.

With five investment managers now in situ looking after more than £700 million on behalf of their clients, JM Finn's team is led by investment director, Simon Tufnell.

The company has been considering the need for a central southern hub for some time, and whilst many of the firm’s clients are still keen to travel to London or like to be visited at home, there is a shift in working patterns.

Director Simon Tufnell said: "The opening of this new office is a very exciting development and underlines the firm’s commitment to offering a personalised approach to wealth management.

"Having an office close to clients can result in significant efficiencies allowing us to conduct client visits without spending too much time out of the office; and of course thanks to technology, being based in a regional office does not compromise the opportunities to meet with companies or participate in internal meetings."

Winchester was an attractive option for the firm as it is home to many intermediary firms, and because the five investment managers live locally and were keen to help establish a new regional office.

It was officially opened by Lord-Lieutenant of Hampshire Nigel Atkinson prior to hosting a drinks reception and private view of the Kings and Scribes exhibition at Winchester Cathedral for over 200 guests.

Simon Tufnell added: "We hope in due course that JM Finn will become the wealth manager of choice for investors in Hampshire and neighbouring counties looking for a personal service, just as we have become in Suffolk thanks to our location in Bury St Edmunds."
