THREE Hampshire universities have all slipped down an established national league table.

University of Southampton, Solent University and University of Winchester saw their positions drop in The Times and The Sunday Times University Guide 2020 rankings.

Comprised using nine indicators including student satisfaction, research quality, graduate prospects and student/staff ratios, University of Southampton ranked 20th nationally – down two places from 2019.

Solent University fell from 85th last year to 89th, while Winchester suffered a big slide from 79th to 98th.

Russell Group member University of Southampton ranked second in the south east region, behind only University of Oxford, with improvements in the student satisfaction with teaching quality and the wider student experience categories.
