THERE were smiles all round at Tichborne Park as thousands of Hampshire residents gathered for this year’s Alresford Show.
Visitors enjoyed a day of animals, local food and drink, shopping stalls and children’s entertainment.
There was also a horticultural section, set up by the Alresford and District Horticultural Society.
This area featured a produce, flower and craft show, and despite the weather, many people had managed to grow fruit, vegetables and flowers to a high standard. The Hampshire Chronicle Cup was won by William Ashby.
Guests could also explore a poultry exhibition and egg show, a vintage and modern machinery section, and watch birds of prey in-flight.
The Alresford Show was first run in 1908, and is organised by the Alresford and District Agricultural Society.
