A PENSIONER who was caught double the drink-drive limit has been banned from the roads.
Denis Norman Findlay, 80, was caught drink-driving in Shore Lane, Bishops Waltham, on July 20.
When breathalysed, Findlay had 70 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.
The legal limit is 35 microgrammes of alcohol.
Appearing at Southampton Magistrates’ Court, Findlay pleaded guilty to drink-driving.
Findlay, of Brooklyn Close, Waltham Chase, was banned from driving for 17 months.
He was also fined £824, ordered to pay £85 in court costs and a victim surcharge of £82.
