THOUSANDS of revellers came out in force to enjoy the sunshine and cheer on the procession passing by during Milford on Sea Carnival.

The Social Club entertained the crowds as The Village People dancing to YMCA, while the Buckland Boys troupe put together a routine dressed as a policewoman.

During the afternoon, the masses were kept amused on the village green by a variety of sideshows, children’s rides, a bouncy castle and music from local outfit Trouble in Mind.

The music and dancing didn’t stop there, with carnival-goers dancing the night away in the High Street to the sounds of Question Mark. Carnival committee member Joy Tillett told the Echo at the time: “The support of local businesses and people has been fantastic.

“The success of this year’s event has been all thanks to the village people - the village was chock-a-block.”

Money from the event was donated to local charities and village organisations.
