WINCHESTER will have a new indoor music festival in the city this September.

The Guildhall events team and the organisers of Winchestival have joined forces to put on the event on September 27.

The Bapsy Hall and Wintonian Bar of the Guildhall will host a line-up of live music, including a stage curated by Quay West Studios which will feature up-and-coming artists from across Hampshire.

Chris Smith, general manager at the Guildhall, said: “The Guildhall has supported Winchestival from its very first year in 2017, and as part of our objective to collaborate and help local events organisers, we are proud to co-host this first indoor music festival.”

Headliners for the main stage include indie rockers Mystery Jets, with support from Bash!, Temples of Youth, and more acts still to be announced.

Music will continue into the night with South Beach Recycling DJ’s, bringing disco, funk, boogie and Balearic edits to the Courtyard Room until late.

Local food and drink will be available from a range of traders.

Doors open at 5pm.

Tickets are available, with limited early-bird tickets at £18.

There are also tickets available for students with NUS cards for £1.
