KEVIN John Blake did not want to have an electronic tag so his whereabouts could be electronically monitored for a night time curfew.
He failed to be available to have the equipment fitted on May 16 at 8.15pm and 10.55pm, a court heard.
It was part of a community order imposed on Blake for stealing boxer shorts and other items from TK Maxx in the Brooks Centre in Winchester.
Blake, 39, of Christchurch Road, admitted the charge.
Magistrates in Basingstoke revoked the original order, and imposed a new one, for Blake to be electronically monitored for a night time curfew.
The order will run for 17 weeks, 7pm to 7am, until November 4.
