A HAMPSHIRE man has been left in a coma with life changing injuries after a motorbike accident.

The 24-year-old biker suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to Southampton General Hospital.

Police have appealed for witnesses to the crash, which happened in Bournemouth Road, Chandler’s Ford.

They are also asking anyone with dash cam footage to come forward.

The motorcyclist, from Lee on the Solent, was riding round a roundabout when he collided with a car.

The motorcyclist then collided with a Mercedes, causing serious head injuries.

A spokesperson from Hampshire Police said: “Just before 10.30pm on July 25 officers were called to a collision on Bournemouth Road, Chandlers Ford involving a motorcycle and a Mercedes.

“The rider of the motorcycle, a 24-year-old man Lee-on-the-Solent, suffered life threatening injuries and was taken to Southampton General Hospital.

“Anyone with information, including dashcam footage of the incident, should call police on 101.”

A spokesperson from South Central Ambulance added: “

The rider had sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to the major trauma centre at University Hospital Southampton; there were two further patients with minor injuries. One of those was taken to hospital by a family member and the other was taken by us in the second ambulance to UHS for further treatment.”
