RADIO One DJ Nick Grimshaw will DJ at Lime Wood’s Smoked & Uncut Festival this weekend.

The Drivetime show host, also well known for being a judge on the twelfth series of the X Factor and Channel 4’s T4 and The Album Chart Show, has been added to a bill topped by disco divas Sister Sledge.

Sister Sledge will be bringing down the curtain on a trio of Smoked & Uncut festivals this summer at Lime Wood on Saturday. The soul legends - who were a big hit at Let's Rock Southampton last year, will serenade the audience with seminal crowd pleasers such as We Are Family, Thinking Of You, and Lost In Music. With nearly 50 years of showbiz under their belt, these Sisters certainly know how to put on a party.

The Wailers, Bob Marley’s band, will also appear, alongside Southampton indie rocker Calum Lintott and resident DJ Harriet Rose. Music lovers are being encouraged to while away a lazy sunshine-soaked Saturday in the fields surrounding Lime Wood; this is an open air party for everyone! The long days of July lend themselves perfectly to al fresco feasting, day-long drinking and sleeping under the stars. Classic festi-food is order of the day across the festival, but if you fancy tucking into something a little heartier purchase a ticket for the pop up feasting tents.

Make the most of the festival vibes and spend the weekend under canvas in your very own bell-tent. For the ultimate festival experience, cosy up in the glamping village, tuck into Chef Angela Hartnett’s Italian banquet and dance the night away. The Smoked &Uncut festivals are a trio of summer events laid on by the boutique hotel group set to an eclectic soundtrack, from folk to funk and rock’n’roll to reggae.

Last year’s festivals played host to a summer line up including Razorlight, the Forest’s own John Illsley of Dire Straits fame and his band, Paul Carrack, Danny Goffey, Rae Morris, Noisettes, Stevie Appleton and many more.

The Forest Pig’s version, which took place earlier in the month and was headlined by The Vaccines, was a complete sell out. The Pig near Bath’s line up included Kaiser Chiefs and Imelda May. Only limited tickets remain for the Lime Wood curtain closer to the Smoked and Uncut season. Visit smokedanduncut.com to book your tickets.
